The Honor Code

All I'm going to say about the recent news concerning the BYU Basketball Team is this:
Instead of criticizing, people should show a little more compassion and support for Brandon Davies. Some need to stop lamenting and worrying about ego and the team, and be a little concerned for the individual.
Now's as good a time as any to give a little perspective on BYU's Honor Code. You can love it or hate it. I think that those who hate it don't understand it. Additionally, if you don't want to live it, you don't have to. No one is forcing the Honor Code down your throat and no one is forcing you to go to BYU. So if you don't like it, don't go to BYU. It is your choice.
Personally, I love the Honor Code. It is not an inconvenience to live it, nor have I felt that it is restrictive. My question to those who question the Honor Code is why not stand up for something by living it?
