Hair Help!
Posted by
McKenzie
So... I'm stuck in a rut. I've had the same hair style for a long time, and it's time for a change. I was going to back to my blonde roots such as the picture below (pun intended).
But, as I googled various styles and was able to upload this exact picture, I came up with a few styles both Ryan and I like...
Side-swiped bangs, a softer look...
True bangs, Anne Hathaway in the Devil Wear's Prada, edgier...
(Disclaimer: I know I'll regret it and cry for a few days, but I'm hopeful! Also, I know that no matter what, I'm not cutting lenghth, but other than that--what should I do?!?)
Color? Style? Suggestions? (Which of the above do you like most?)

I love side sweep bangs! I think they'd look great on you! I love mine! I love them because even if you just throw your hair up, you still have cute bangs! :) Good luck with whatever you choose! :)
I am going to tell you something and I need you to listen very carefully. I had to learn the hard way...the VERY hard way. Next time I see you I will prove it to you with some pictures. But here's the deal, you are very pregnant and about to deliver. Every woman at this stage feels in a rut. Just don't do anything drastic. I'm sure you, like all of us, look different in your body shape and face shape right now. Don't do anything drastic with your hair right now. Just don't. Color, sure. A minor cut or adjustment, yes! I love a fresh, revitalizing hair do. BUT DON'T DO ANYTHING TOO DRASTIC. I like all the pictures you posted, but I'm telling you be careful. Pregnant brains and emotions are tricky and you don't want to regret something you've done in this state of being.
(oh, and I do like the dark color)
I agree with your friend above. I have heard from friends that you don't want to do anything drastic when pregnant. I hear a lot of people end up having a lot of regret.
My vote, however, would be for the second, Anne Hathaway look! I think it would look pretty cute!
It is true, the hormones are raging. My favorite is the true bangs and dark. It compliments your lovely face!
I like the straight bangs look the best out of the two pictures you showed. Keep in mind that if you color it, the color may not turn out right. There's something about pregnancy hormones that can affect the dye when it makes contact with your hair. If you're going to spend the money on getting it done, I'd wait until after the baby's born before coloring it. Both looks are cute. I wish I could stand bangs. But it drives me nuts having stuff in my face that I can't pin back.

I'm with your friends, your almost done. This is the hardest point and the more you think about it being over the longer it will be, so just wait and when your a new mom then you'll have the chance to whatever you want with your hair.
Hmm... try the swoop bangs. I've never been a huge fan of straight across, "edgy" bangs...But you're gorgeous and will look good in anything!
As for color...I don't know how I feel. I love you blonde. But it's always fun to experiment!!
But my vote goes hardcore to the side-swept bangs. Good luck!
This is how serious this is--I am back writing another comment. Give yourself 6 weeks after the baby is born and then totally go for a BIG, HUGE, change. Until then, just get a trim and call it good. If you need a change, buy some new makeup. I am so serious here.
Being a new mom, I have some advice too. If you want to got for the bangs look, I would do the swoopy bangs, because if you decide that you are sick of them when your baby comes they are much easier to grow out! Also, when your face shape cahnges etc. after birth they are much easier to tinker with then straight across. I agree with Andrea though, anything super drastic right now may have you upset at yourself in a few weeks. So I think your idea not to do length is a very good choice, and swoop bangs aren't too drastic, and if you decide you like bangs and the maintanence they require then you can always do more with them after the baby is born, and if you decide, "What was I thinking?!?" Then you can grow them out much easier and faster, and you can always dye your hair back blonde.
I am laughing after reading Andrea's comments! Can you tell she is speaking from experience? I think you would look awesome with dark hair! Good luck with the big decision:)
I vote for option A. And I agree with your friends...you are going to be too busy between now and, say, Easter for you to care a whole lot about your hair. Give yourself several weeks after the baby arrives before you make a change like this. Then, you can call your new 'do "Conference Hair", since April GC is Easter weekend this year :)
side swipe bangs. super sexy and stylin', but also quick to do if you are in a hurry to finish getting ready so you can get back to baby. :) Love love it.
