I am convinced that I am a happier person when the weather is warm. There are so many things to do, and it just feels great to be outside. I guess 13 hours a day on campus for at least 4 days a week has started to wear on me, and I can't wait to get outside and be free!
So, in light of this beautiful spring afternoon (and considering I just went through the week from you-know-where and do not have any pending homework today), I decided to make a list of what I'm looking forward to this summer.
1. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping
2. Early-morning runs
3. Shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops
4. Some time out of the TNRB
5. Swimming
6. A race or two
7. Sun/Farmer's Tan
8. Internships in DC!
9. The 4th of July
10. Seeing the monuments when it's warm and I can actually enjoy them rather than wanting to jump right back into the car.
11. Interning at the Heritage Foundation working on one of my passions, Latin American Policy
12. The smell of cut grass
13. Taking some road trips
14. Warm mornings, and cool nights
15. Hiking
16. Maybe a vacation amidst all of this
17. Coming back to start a new semester recharged, and excited for changes
18. Reading a good book outside
19. The Cabin - 4 wheeling, trail running, boating, and lying on the beach at the lake
20. The annual bike ride around Scofield Reservoir with family and friends
21. Smores
22. Fire roasted hot dogs
23. Roasting marshmallows, then having someone else eat them (because they are not my favorite)
24. Picnics
25. Taking evening walks while holding hands with my beautiful wife! (I love her!)
Enjoy some warm memories on me.

Sounds like you guys are going to have a fun Summer. I'm just excited to go in the backyard and feel the grass under my feet! Yeah for warm weather!
Definitely, the feel of grass on bare feet should be on the list.
Also, driving with the windows down and the music up.
