Draper Temple Open House

Over the past few months, I have really wanted to go to the Draper Temple Open House, but knew that with our schedules, it was probably not going to happen. Especially considering we didn't have tickets.
But yesterday, as Ryan and I were studying, we realized that the rest of the days classes had been canceled. So we hopped in the car and drove to Draper. We were a little concerned that we didn't have tickets, but it turns out you don't really need the tickets. After we got to the ward chapel, we waited for about an hour total (including a twelve minute video that was wonderful) before we were loaded on the bus to the temple.
Walking through that temple with my sweetheart was such a wonderful experience. It was calm, peaceful, and the spirit of the Lord was there, despite the fact that the temple has not been dedicated.
The Draper Temple
My favorite room was by far the Celestial Room. Out of all of the temples that I have been to, it is at the top of my favorites list. The architecture , the height, the light, the chandelier , the pictures, they were all absolutely perfect. It was beautiful, and I can't wait to go back to the temple when they dedicate it.
I am grateful to live in a place where temples are abundant. In the short time that Ryan and I have been married, we have been able to go to the Bountiful, Salt Lake, Draper, Timpanogos, Provo, Nauvoo, and Washington DC temples. We feel blessed to have the Lord's spirit and blessings in our lives.

oooo go to the las vegas celestial room - you would love it!
Ryan, when I graduated high school, my family went on a road trip to New York. There were some pretty amazing places that we saw there and back. My favorites were Pennsylvania (anywhere in the state because it's so green and beautiful), Independence and St. Louis Missouri, Nauvoo (especially at night when there are a zillion fireflies). I'm not sure if you'd want to make a trek farther north, but upstate New York is so pretty. We visited Niagra Falls and Palmyra. Amazing.
