Lavish Purchase

Throughout the years, I’ve heard the stories about scrimping by as newlyweds, and as one, I can relate. However, I do have to admit our most recent lavish purchase… an Aqua Globe! Aqua globes are blown glass in an elongated balloon shape, that you fill with water and then stick in the soil of a potted plant. As the air is created within the soil, air bubbles rise through the tube to the surface of the water level inside the globe causing more water to disperse in the soil. In June I saw an infomercial about them on TV, and had wanted to call the number to get one! Of course, knowing me, I would never have called, but in July, Ryan and I found them for $10 at Bed Bath and Beyond! Being in our first apartment, and in an attempt to make it more comfortable, we bought an indoor palm plant, and thus a ‘need’ arose for an Aqua globe, so we bought some! They really work, and it saved our plant while we were out of town for Pioneer Day. Moral: even newlyweds can splurge!

Looks cool, but I don't even know what this is! What does it do?? -Brittney
I saw those on TV and wanted to buy one for my mom. She has a notorious black thumb. But then she replaced all of her real indoor plants with plastic. Thwarted!
I hope you don't mind my blog-stalking you.... bwahahahaha!
