Last night, Ryan and I had the opportunity to go the Salt Lake airport to greet his younger brothers (Adam and Andrew) as they returned home from their respective missions (Nashville, TN and Jackson, MS). It was an interesting experience, because although I had written them, spoken with them on the phone, and 'met' their life-size cardboard cutouts, their existence was still a very abstract concept. They arrived accompanied by their parents, Brad and Jennifer. They came down the escalator with smiles on their faces and greeted everyone with a hug.

Everyone that is... but me! Sadly they only shook my hand (well, I guess technically I'm not a part of the family just yet) and for the first time the concrete concept took shape into two individuals! Adam and Andrew are great! They are exactly what I imagined they would be! Funny, kind, smart, and of course big teasers! It had barely been 10 minutes when they were giving me a hard time - I guess that is a family trait!

We came home, let the boys relax for a little while, and they piled back into the car to head to the stake center. The stake president interview the two boys individually and then we all went into the office to hear a short report, their testimonies, and to hear them be released. It was a neat spiritual experience, and they had wonderful stories to tell. It was a tender and bitter-sweet occasion, and I really enjoyed it. I love this family and am grateful to be a part of it!
Welcome Home Adam and Andrew!

Are they identical twins or no?
Yep!
Mckenzie...it's Abby (washington seminar). I stumbled across your blog and had so much fun looking at it! I'd like to link it to mine if that's okay:) Good to see all is going well.
Just so you know, I went to school with these boys--I think we were in the Davis High Band together! Congrats on your marriage and I hope you post some pictures soon!
