One of the Halloween decorations we own at our house is actually more of a gadget used to scare people.
Adi usually insists that I open this gadget for her, but this time she did it herself and wanted me to document it.
Knowing what is coming doesn't necessarily help. Sometimes anticipation is anxiety.
In the end, she found a new sense of accomplishment.
Empowered, she declared later that night, "I'm never going to bed again. Ever!"
