Bloomberg Businessweek

A few weeks ago I spoke with reporter, Caroline Winter, from Bloomberg Businessweek. As the Government specialist for UCS, she wanted to know why the Intelligence Community hires more students from BYU than from other universities. It was a neat opportunity to talk about the caliber of BYU students (the fact that over 70% of the student body speak a second language) and to relate the standards of the Gospel to business.

I was disappointed today to see that I wasn't quoted in the full magazine article (I mean who am I to compete with Romney and other businessmen?), but was happy that I contributed.

I'm not sure about how I feel about the article as a whole because (despite the fact that for the last six months I have taught doctrine at church) apparently I'm less likely to attend church: "A Mormon woman who has a post-graduate education is less likely to attend church, perhaps because "an advanced degree does not contribute to an LDS woman's status within the church."

Oh well there's no such thing as bad publicity, right?
