Washington in the Fall

It might be an understatement to say that Kenz loves Washington, D.C. It's one of her passions that I came to appreciate and love myself - maybe as much as she does or more. How beautiful it must be in the fall...

When we moved to the D.C. metro area, I was excited to see the city in all four seasons because up to that point, I had only experienced summer and the dead of winter in Washington. It made it all that much harder to leave when we did.

We have always planned on visiting as much as possible to see friends and family in the area, and move back - circumstances permitting. And this may sound corny or overly dramatic, but we feel there is still a part of us in Washington.

(Capitol Hill)

We find consolation in the knowledge that our lives have been guided by the Almighty, and feel extremely blessed in our current situation. We could not have foreseen any of what has transpired, nor could we have planned anything more perfectly.

Kenz has a trip to the city coming up for work, and I'm lucky enough to tag along for the weekend thanks to Delta vouchers. We're still debating about bringing baby along -- the red-eye flight might be too much, but the pictures might be worth it. (Yeah, we're lame like that.)

I certainly hope it was more than the leaves that is bringing you back for a visit!
