Fire!

This morning I made it a point to get to business. As soon as I got to school this morning, I started into the pile that is my to do list. Around 10:30, I was sitting in a carrel in the Tanner Building, taking a quiz, really getting into it, when all of the sudden, out of nowhere came:

WAHEAH! WAHEAH! WAHEAH! WAHEAH!

The fire-alarm that was literally feet away from me went off, causing me to jump up, out of my chair by at least 3 feet. I hit the kid sitting behind me, and started to apologize, wasting my precious time to RUN out of the building. I grabbed my laptop and backpack and was out of there in 5 seconds flat. I was panicked. Where was Ryan, what was happening, what if... you get my point.

Luckily, I was on the 2nd floor, so I made a quick escape, but then I was worried about Ryan. I called him, but no answer. I saw a friend outside said hi, and turned around to see Ryan coming out of the building. Safe. Come to find out, I was apparently the only person in the building that didn't know it was a drill. No wonder people were giving me funny looks.

Oh well, better safe than sorry.

Hahahaha! Sorry to take pleasure in your horrible experience but I must admit I love doing that to people at work.

hahaha! Oh Kenz. It's so true--much better safe than sorry! But I'm sorry it caused undue stress..! Way to be on top of your to-do list things, though!
And what on EARTH are you doing with a Christmas background before Thanksgiving!??
