Potbelly: A Different Perspective

A couple of months ago I blogged about a friend's obsession with Potbelly Sandwich Works. I was aghast as to why someone could rant and rave about a sandwich from a place with absolutely no selection...

Well, since that time, I have eaten at Potbellys on eight different occasions (Yes, I said eight. That averages out to once a week in case you were wondering.), always for lunch. Why you may ask? Well, I like turkey sandwiches and it's cheap, convenient, and close. Although I have come to an infantile appreciation for the sandwich place, I am still baffled how anyone can be so head over heels for the place--I mean, if I'm going to rant about food, it's going to be a succulent filet mingon seared to perfection...

but that's just me.

That having been said, Potbellys makes a good sandwich. Granted I always get the same thing: TKY with swiss on wheat with mayo, mustard, and extra lettuce.

However, this is not a food that I will be craving any time soon, specially after I return to the land of the Gods, aka the Land of Cafe Rio, but that in itself is a completely different post.

Well I'm glad you at least respect it a little more now. And as for filet mingon, it's only good if it's not pink like in that picture :)! I'm excited you're heading back to UT. Let's actually hang out for once in Utah instead of in DC!

A little respect maybe. :) And, the filet mignon should be slightly pink in the middle, but it's often wrapped in bacon... the pink is bacon. Ummm... Yummy!

well first..the picture of your "TKY" definately looks like a cheap subway sandwich. Secondly, why post about your amazing time in DC only to makes us DCers totally jealous that your get Cafe Rio and other yumminess in a weeks time! CRUEL AND UNFAIR!

Adi! Finally someone who agrees. Yes... TKY skinny turkey on wheat... basically a subway. Ha. And I'm sorry, I'll send some sweet pork lovin' your way. :) But tonight's yumminess couldn't come any S-L-O-W-E-R!
