This morning Ryan and I drove away into the sunset... actually I wanted that to sound dramatic and catching (and if you caught that, I said 'this morning'). Here's the real story:
Ryan and I left Farmington this morning at 9:30 after some errands and a quick run (for him anyway). We said goodbye to Jennifer, Erin, and that baby. He's so stinkin' cute. (Pictures of him and bubbles to come.)
It was
quite the drive through Wyoming and most of Nebraska... we discovered why the populations of these states are small. (Ryan interjects "Hey, I like Nebraska".) They both have their distinct charm. Here are some of them:
Wyoming has windmills. Lots of windmills. We must have passed a million of these. Ryan says Wyoming has windmills and wind. Period. (Sorry Brad and Erin, you know we love Wyoming-ites.) :)
They both have these. Lots of trucks with huge antlers (aka - side mirrors, that was for you Nate). I loved the billboards about "Dick's Trucking Stop: Lodging, Food, Showers, The Works"... who would have known that trucks have escaped Texas. :)
After hours and hours and what seemed like hours, we finally made it to Nebraska! We were excited to get here because A) it meant we were in the state we would be spending the night, and B) (more importantly) it's where our brother-in-law, Tyler, served his mission (Tyler, we waved for you), and C) it meant we were out of Wyoming.
While driving through Nebraska along I-80... we kept looking for Sidney, NE, but to no avail. It turns out that we had passed it when we passed the Cabela's World Headquarters. I guess that it has it's own zip code. Go figure.
Finally, as we approached our destination (Lexington, NE) Ryan spotted some wild turkey and deer! I glanced out the window quickly and sure enough, there they were! (Granted this is not a picture we took. Ryan says Nebraska has Cabelas, Corn, Bugs, Turkeys, Deer, and lots of cows. The End.

Sounds great, but just get here already, jk ;)
Hey, did he serve in Omaha? That's where my little bro served. Isn't driving together adventurous? Aaron and I love long drives (like our West Coast roadtrip). Sometimes we just drive up and around the houses along the mountainside in Provo, or into Provo Canyon. The first time we were really spontaneous with Conner was when we just decided to take a little trip to Heber just for the heck of it. We went all the way to Heber just to eat Taco Bell, eat our food and feed Conner while sitting in our care by the resoirvore, and then head back home. I can't wait to hear about more of your adventures.
Wooooo hooooo........
haha Sounds like a party and a half. Good thing it gets better! :)
