Campus-Wide Black Out
Posted by

Ryan and I were sitting in room 240 (a computer lab) of the Tanner Building in the first 10 minutes of our Stats class today when this happened:
BLACK OUT!
And, considering the fact that we were in a computer lab and no one had their laptops out, it was pitch black. I was actually quite surprised that an emergency light didn't come on, and when it didn't, we all whipped out our phones.
I called the University Operator to ask how to report it, and it turns out it was campus-wide. In my five years at BYU, the power has only ever gone out once, in a single building, for a few seconds.
After about 10 minutes, our professor said we were free to go - nice.
Kind of crazy.
